Lands
Land Engine
Overview
"Lands is a green-blue-white engine deck that turns extra land drops into card advantage: Exploration lets it play multiple lands a turn while Horn of Greed draws a card for each one. Scroll Rack and Gaea's Blessing sculpt draws and recycle the graveyard into the library, fueling Gush, Impulse, Time Warp, and Enlightened Tutor. Oath of Druids cheats Spike Weaver into play to fog the board, and Counterspell, Mana Leak, Capsize, and Swords to Plowshares protect the engine until it buries the opponent in resources."
Game Plan
Lands is a resource-accumulation deck that wins by converting raw land drops into an overwhelming card-count advantage before closing with a protected finisher. The engine assembles in two pieces: Exploration allows a second land drop each turn, and Horn of Greed draws a card for every land that enters the battlefield, so a resolved Exploration with Horn of Greed online immediately doubles the card flow each turn. Gush accelerates the loop by returning two Islands to hand and drawing two cards; those Islands are immediately replayed via Exploration, generating two additional Horn of Greed triggers at no net mana cost. Once that engine stabilizes, Scroll Rack sculpts the top of the library by swapping excess lands back for live spells, and Gaea's Blessing reshuffles the graveyard into the deck so the loop never runs dry. Time Warp closes the game when the hand is full: an extra turn at that point means two extra land drops and two extra draw triggers, burying the opponent under cards while their resources stagnate.
The defensive shell keeps the engine alive long enough to win. Oath of Druids puts Spike Weaver into play as a fog engine, buying the turns needed to refill and build toward the kill. Counterspell and Mana Leak protect Horn of Greed and Exploration on the way in; Capsize with buyback locks out any permanent that slips through later. When the opponent presents a threat demanding an immediate answer, Impulse digs for interaction. Treetop Village serves as an uncounterable threat that costs no spell slots, attacking from the land base once the opponent is tapped down chasing the engine. If the combo draw is unavailable, the deck grinds through Gaea's Blessing loops and extra-turn chains until incremental card edges bury the opponent.
