Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Log & usage data: Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical data when you visit — IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring/exit pages, the pages you view, and date/time stamps. This is used to operate, secure, and improve the site.
• Cookies & local storage: Small amounts of data stored by your browser to operate the site and remember on-device preferences (for example, lists you save locally). See the Cookies section below.
• No account data: We do not offer user registration, accounts, or logins at this time, so we do not collect usernames, passwords, or email addresses for account purposes. If account features are introduced later, this policy will be updated first.
• Information you choose to submit: If you send us content through our contribute flow or contact the maintainers, we receive whatever you include (such as your name/handle and message). Provide only what you are comfortable sharing.
• Publicly-sourced tournament data: We display publicly-available tournament results aggregated from third-party sources, which may include player names or handles exactly as published by the original event or source (see Third-Party Sources below).

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information above to:

• operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site and its features;
• understand aggregate traffic and usage trends;
• support outbound retailer links (see Affiliate Links);
• respond to messages, contributions, and takedown or privacy requests;
• detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical problems; and
• comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you.

3.Cookies & Local Storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser local storage to operate the site, remember on-device preferences, and support the affiliate links described below. Preferences stored in local storage (for example, saved lists) stay on your device and are not transmitted to us. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies for ad targeting. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may then work less smoothly.

4. Analytics

We do not run a third-party advertising network such as Google AdSense, and we do not serve targeted ads. Where we measure site usage, we plan to use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (a Plausible/Umami-style approach) that does not set cross-site advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.

• Analytics are used only to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site, not to identify you or build advertising profiles.
• If our analytics setup changes materially, we will update this policy to reflect it.

5. Affiliate Links

PremodernHQ links out to third-party card retailers so you can buy cards you see on the site. We do not currently have an affiliate agreement with any specific retailer. We may join retailer affiliate programs in the future; if and when we do, some outbound links will become affiliate links.

• If a link is an affiliate link, clicking it may place a third-party tracking cookie (via the retailer's affiliate network) that records you came from our site, so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases.
• FTC Disclosure: where affiliate links are active, any commission is earned at no additional cost to you. We disclose these relationships here and in our Terms of Service.
• Retailer/affiliate cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy policy, not ours.

6.Third-Party Services & Sources

We rely on third parties to host the site, serve card images, and source data. These parties may receive technical data (such as your IP address) when their content loads in your browser, under their own privacy policies:

• Hosting / CDN & image delivery (for example, our host and Scryfall's image servers) process requests needed to deliver pages and card images.
• Data sources: tournament, metagame, and card data are aggregated from publicly-available third-party sources. Player names or handles may appear with those results exactly as they were published by the original source.
• If you are a player and have a concern about how your name appears in publicly-sourced results, contact us (below) and we will review the request.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the site: with service providers (such as hosting/CDN) acting on our behalf; when required by law or to respond to valid legal process; and to protect the rights, safety, and security of the site, our users, or the public. Aggregate, non-identifying statistics may be shared publicly.

8.Data Retention & Security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law; server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. Because we do not offer accounts, we typically hold very little information about you beyond server logs and aggregate analytics.

We can only act on privacy requests received in writing by email, so we can verify and respond properly. Discord (externality_0502) is for unofficial or casual questions only — please do not send privacy or legal requests there.
• Do Not Track: we do not track you across other websites, so our behavior does not change based on a browser "Do Not Track" signal.
• We will not charge you to make a reasonable request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. International Users

The site is operated from, and its data is processed in, the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws may differ from those of your own.

12. Third-Party Links

The site contains links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy statement of any site you visit.

13.Changes & Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
