Game Plan

Rebels is a resource-positive creature deck that converts untapped mana directly into board presence without spending cards. The opening sequence centers on landing Ramosian Sergeant or Defiant Falcon on turns one and two, not to attack, but to begin a cascade that builds the board for free. Ramosian Sergeant fetches Defiant Falcon, Defiant Falcon's longer reach pulls Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero into play, and Lin Sivvi then searches any Rebel in the deck at a mana cost proportional to X. Mother of Runes runs alongside the chain as a one-mana insurance policy, shielding whichever searcher is actively recruiting so that Swords to Plowshares can be held for the opponent's threats rather than spent rescuing your own engine. The deck does not win by attacking quickly. It wins by accumulating bodies every single turn until the opponent's removal is exhausted, then ascending to Ramosian Sky Marshal or Jhovall Queen to end the game with flying power that was never committed to a card draw.

When the chain is contested, the deck transitions into a grinding defensive posture anchored by Worship. With even one creature in play, Worship makes racing impossible and forces the opponent into a purely interactive game, precisely the terrain where Whipcorder's instant-speed tap ability shines, neutralizing blockers to keep whatever Rebel is on the battlefield dealing damage. Thermal Glider and Nightwind Glider provide evasive bodies that survive red and black removal respectively, giving Lin Sivvi durable targets to search and return from the graveyard when spent. Seal of Cleansing and Disenchant clear the path for Worship to resolve and stick. The long-game guarantee is Lin Sivvi's ability to put dead Rebels back into the library: every creature the opponent kills can be searched up again, making attrition a losing strategy against a chain that effectively never runs out of fuel.
