Game Plan

Survival Infestation builds its board through two interlocking loops rather than raw card advantage. Birds of Paradise accelerates into a turn-two Survival of the Fittest or Zombie Infestation; once either enchantment is live, every discard becomes productive rather than a loss. Squee, Goblin Nabob is the keystone: discarded to Survival of the Fittest to search any creature in the toolbox, it walks back from the graveyard each upkeep unprompted, making each {G} activation effectively free. Wild Mongrel and Zombie Infestation serve as backup discard outlets that convert hand cards into board presence: Basking Rootwalla drops for nothing off madness, Arrogant Wurm arrives as a 4/4 trampler for two mana, and a free Basking Rootwalla in play doubles as Cabal Therapy flashback fodder, stripping two opponent cards for the price of one.

When Survival of the Fittest is absent or destroyed, Zombie Infestation sustains the engine on its own: discarding Squee, Goblin Nabob or Krovikan Horror each turn manufactures a 2/2 Zombie at zero net cost, because both creatures reclaim themselves from the graveyard: Squee at upkeep, Krovikan Horror whenever any creature card lands directly above it in the pile. The deck wins by flooding the board faster than the opponent can answer it, while Duress and Cabal Therapy clear the path. Genesis in the graveyard extends the engine through removal-heavy opposition: paying {G} at each upkeep returns Bone Shredder, Uktabi Orangutan, or Monk Realist to hand, letting the deck rebuy its silver bullets indefinitely without ever touching Survival of the Fittest again.
